Hi,

I am currently trying to reduce my % body fat so that my six-pack becomes visible, I have a set of scales that calculate this and I'm approx 17%. I am 6' tall and weigh 80 kilos.

When I go to the gym I usually do a 15 minute warm up on a cross trainer and then do a routine on the weights, focusing on chest, shoulders and back on separate days. I then do some side bends and crunches, however my small bit of fat around my stomach doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

I have started do some aerobic exercise after my weights and on most of the machines, cross trainer, bike etc there's an option for either 'fat burn' or 'cardio'. In understand that fat burn does exactly that but I find it very easy, cardio is much more intense and makes me sweat a lot more, so which is the best one to do?

I also wanted to know the best way to do crunches? I usually crunch and then do 2-3 pulses and make about 3 sets of 10-12 with a 15Kg weight, then when I've done 3 sets I do straight crunches until I can do no more and usually manage about 2-3 sets of 10 again. Is this the best way?

Thanks in advance

Jeez, all this talk about different exercises and routines and cardio, and nothing about the one thing that really determines whether you'll lose fat?

(hint: it starts with a d)

Jose wonders if anyone will get it
