I never took the Ephedra - for me it was straight to Ephedrine. The purity and the consistency of the rush had me from pill one.

Even my dog's on ephedrine. It's common for large dogs to get urinary incontinence after spaying, and the vet recommended Thermo-Lean. Wondering why, I searched on the net and found that ephedrine is the most commonly prescibed treatment. (Thermo-Lean doesn't even have ephedrine, maybe he meant ThermoPro). Anyway, I was giving her one 8mg ephedrine tablet twice a day, then upped it to 2 tabs/twice a day. It worked for a while but the problem returned, so I took her to the vet again because I was afraid to give her more.

The vet said to raise her dosage to 24 mg 3x/day, and said that's still nowhere near the limit. The dog weighs about 85 pounds. That put the ephedrine hysteria in perspective for me.

I guess thats a good reason why ephedrine dosage cant be corelated between dogs and people then.
