I just caught this on the radio on the way home from work. Apparently a woman died after being given bad information by her trainer in the gym, she had a stroke after he basically told her to work through the pain (that's the gist of the story, anyway). Her husband is now suing the gym for millions. Anyone a link to the full story, or any details?

Thanks

This has to be my favorite part of the story. Someone talking about enlisting the help of this overzealous trainer:

'It got to the point where I couldn't lift the weight, I was getting sick and he kept on screaming obscenities at me. All the other trainers were looking at him yelling at me and then at one point I just projectile vomited at the guy.'

hahahaha!!!

i didn't read the story, but wouldn't the first sign of an impending stroke be a major headache? I can't think of ANY reason to continue a workout with a bad headache. Light workouts actually help me with light headaches, but this is a different category!

Unless the woman never specified that the pain was in her HEAD...

Go read the story: it's alleged that she had hypertension, had been recommended to use diet pills by the trainer without discussion of risks, didn't feel well, and was advised to soldier on.
