Fixed many typos
I love how the conservatives on Fox are hosts of opinion journalism shows while the liberals on the major networks are the 'objective' news casters:
Tim Russert (NBC)- worked for NY Gov Mario Cuomo (D) and Sen. Pat Moynihan (D-NY).
Jeff Greenfield (CNN)- former speechwriter for Sen. Bob Kennedy (D-Mass) and ultra-liberal NY Mayor John Lindsey.
Chris Matthews (CNBC)- former speechwriter for Carter and press secretary for House Speaker 'Tip' O'Neill.
NBC News chief political correspondence Ken Bode was an aide to Morris Udall (D-Ariz) during his 76 pres campaign.
Bill Moyers (PBS) was Lyndon Johnson's press secretary.
Brian Williams (NBC) worked in the Carter White House.
Liz Brackett (PBS) of NewsHour w/ Jim Lehrer worked on the Chicago mayoral campaign of Bill Singer (D).
Jane Pauley (NBC) was the executive administrative assistant to the Indiana Democratic State Central Committee.
Pierre Salinger (ABC) worked for the Kennedy administration and was briefly a Dem senator from CA (until ousted by voters 2 months later).
David Shipley was a speechwriter for Bill & Hillary Clinton and went straight from that to being a writer & editor at the 'New York Times.'
Ken Auletta, political writer for the 'New Yorker' served in the Johnson administration and worked for R.F. Kennedy, Mayor John Lindsay, and other liberals.
Leslie Gelb, national security columnist and deputy editorial page editor for 'NY Times' worked for both the Johnson and Carter administrations.
James Fallow, Carter's chief speechwriter has been the Washington editor of 'Atlantic Monthly' and 'NY Times Magazine' among other media positions.
Tom Johnson, former publisher of the 'LA Times' and former CNN chairman and chief executive was an aide to Lyndon Johnson.
Walter Pincus (Washington Post) has also been a consultant to CBS and NBC, and twice took sabbaticals from journalism to run investigations for the Foreign Relations committee under JW Fullbright (D-Ark) and his wife was an appointee in the Clinton administration.
Jack Rosenthal was an assistant to R.F. Kennedy and an assistant to JFK's liaison to Gov George Wallace. He went on to become editorial director of 'USA Today' and president of the American Society of Newspaper Editors.
Chris Cuomo (ABC) is Mario Cuomo's (D) son.
Eleanor Mondale (E!) is daughter of Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale.
Maria Shriver (NBC) is Ted Kennedy's niece.
Cokie Roberts (ABC) is daughter of former House Majority Leader Hale Boggs (D).
Evan Thomas, 'Newsweek' Washington Bureau Chief and frequent CNBC guest is the son of Norman Thomas, 4-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party (!)

There is one difference, many of the above have integrity, something the carnival barkers at Fox sold to Satan. They are so over the top only dittoheads and the like would be persuaded by their arguments.

Bill Moyers has integrity? Evan Thomas? Jeff Greenfield? The many years these men spent in futherance of Dmeocratic Party in general and liberal Democrats in specific has no bearing on their journalistic integrity or intellectual honesty?

If it '...has no bearing on their journalistic integrity or intellectual honesty' then why bring it up in the first place. What was your point

Hey genius, I was asking the previous poster if he believed that it 'had no bearing'. You do know what a question mark means, right?
Jesus- did you get so caught up in trying to be cute on Usenet you forgot third-grade punctuation?

Yep. Actually, I just read that wrong...it happens...sorry 'bout that.
In any case...so what you're saying is anyone that worked for a political party, candidate, politician, etc., somehow is necessarily devoid of journalist integrity or intellectual honesty?
Hmm...let's see now:
Roger Ailes (Fox News President)- former chief media consultant for Pres. George H. W. Bush. Also worked on Nixon and Reagan campaigns
Tony Snow (Fox)- former Bush speechwriter
Catherine Crier (Fox)- former Republican judge
Sean Hannity (Fox)- worked for Newt Gingrich (R-GA)
Monica Crowley (Fox)- former assistant to President Nixon
Jim Pinkerton (Fox)- former staffer to Presidents Reagan and Bush
Jon Podheretz (Fox)- former Reagan speechwriter

OK, so we've got one cable news channel slanted to the right versus all the other networks, the biggest newspapers, and the top news magazines slanted to the left.
It kind shoots the 'balanced media' argument in the foot when all the conservatives you can find all work for the same cable news channel, don't you think?

Why is Fox so successful? Why are so many people watching it? Why did two major networks' news coverage viewership decline during wartime (an unprecedented event) and why aren't you hearing *that* story on ABC? What's the deal- why did so many people change the channel from Donahue to O'Reilly that Donahue had to be cancelled? People all over the country finally got tired of the liberalism in the rest of the media and turned the channel to Fox News. On the radio it's even worse- the liberal side of talk radio is NPR and guess who pays for it- that's right, YOU! (it's tax-subsidized).
