Climb Aboard The Elliptical Trainer

Personally, if I have a choice of a treadmill and an elliptical trainer, I would much rather get on the trainer than on the treadmill.
The movement is more interesting and there is a possibility of combining more muscle groups than in the treadmill, there for getting a better general workout, rather than just a cardiovascular.
On some of the elliptical trainers the pedal’s are on an ajustable slope, that allows different resistance levels therfor different intesities of workout and also targeting different muscle groups in the legs.
I like the Trainers that can pedal in reverse as well as forward and also, have a variety of different training programs, changing the intensity and the focus on different muscle groups through out the session.
If I were to buy one for personal use, I would try out a few model’s to see wich ones I liked best, and which had the most variety within my budget.
One of the problems with buying exercise machines for the home is that after a very short time they may very well end up covered in dust….
Since it is in no way a cheap buy, I would make sure that I purchased a machine that would really benefit me.
