I'm not a big fan of doing sets specifically targeting the triceps. Is there any good compound exercise that can train a major muscle group as well as the triceps? How about benching?

I personally use 2 different grips. First a chest width (not shoulder width), then the more torturous thumbs width. (The tips of my thumbs touch each other if I stick them out along the bar.) Alot of people can't stand the discomfort of this one!

Thank you! I guess if that close grip hurts too much, I can lower the weight a bit?

I normally just do skull crushers, but I'd like to try this.
