what up i have a q. i just recently bought creatine it is gmc Pro Performance Mega creatine it is in a box of 20 packages. one package is one serving and contains 5g of creatine and 1g of Phosphorus it says it does not require a loading phase, and the gnc rep said you only take it on work out days. He also recommended this out of all the other creatines. Is this atleat an alright creatine, or should i have looked elsewhere?

Buying ANY creatine is a complete waste of money. The benefits, if any (?), are so tiny that only under very controlled conditions would you EVER notice a change. Use your money for good food, gym fees, equipment, or just about anything else that will help you get bigger, stronger and healthier.

Creatine won't help you. 99% of ALL dietary supplements won't help you; they are totally ineffective.

If I had known, years ago, that people were stupid enough to buy things that didn't work, I would have gone into the dietary supplement business. Hmmm...that gives me an idea; maybe it's not too late to 'fire up a scam'.

Silly troll. The vast majority of studies done with athletes show a boost in performance when taking creatine.

Are you saying ephedrine is totally ineffective? Flax oil? Fish oil? Multi-vitamins? Hm.

No, he is only dealing with creatine in this post and I think he doesn't really believe that supplements are totally ineffective as he also concedes that 1% of them work. His position seems to be that one should rely only on solid real food, anything else is either 'cheating' (ie steroids, protein powder, or one of those 1% supplements) or a waste of money.

Most supplements cannot compare with running, sit-ups, and push-ups. That you can't sell these in a bottle are their down fall. I like the quote '99% of the supplements out there don't work, but you'd be crazy to avoid the 1% that do'

Supplements one would want to take: Creatine, Multi-Vitamin, Anti-Oxidants (more than the multi provided), Fish Oil, Aspirine, Caffeine (debatable), Water, Water, oh yea, More Water. Yea, there's more but why make a long list.

Humble opinion, mileage may vary, not responsible for any alien take-over when imbibing these substances.

Nuke - did I forget to mention water?
