Last night I tried a protein smoothie at the Juice Bar at Gold's Gym. It was delicious. Are any of you members of Gold's? Well I usually like to keep track of my protein, calories, fat, and carbohydrates and was wondering if any of you have an idea of the nutritional content in one of these fruit smoothies. Hell, maybe one of you works at a Gold's Gym and has actually made one! I would really like to know before I decide to get one on a daily basis. Thanks!

I've worked in a gym with an 'Island Oasis' machine, and it made great smoothies which we just added scoops of protein into. The stuff is made from a little water and a little smoothie concentrate (comes in what looks like a quart of milk). I remember how dense in calories and high in sugar the concentrate was.... sorry! Without the protein I believe one smoothie was around 300-400 calories (about 14oz of smoothie). Hope that helps, -Hinson

I work at a Golds Gym and at ours there is a menu with the calorie carbs protein and fat listed for each smoothie. If yours doesn't have that go up and ask the people who make it and have a piece of paper handy to write down what they tell you. Each time you get a different one, just ask them for the calories carbs fat and protein in each and keep track of the different ones so you don't have to ask about a certain one twice. They are a gym, so they should understand pretty well that you are keeping track of your calories.
