Hello All,

I've decided to get back into shape, hopefully like I was when I was in the Army but better.

First: I have a Legacy Fitness Weight Bench WB-535 that I purchased about 5 years ago. And it looks BRAND NEW (so that shows you how much I used it) However it seems that the company went out of business. Does anyone have any info on this? I ask becuase I rem. it coming with a chart with all the different exercises that can be performed with the bench. (Comes with a preacher and leg accessory which I still have). This leads to my second question

Second: Is there anything online which I can look at to see the 'correct' way to do the various exercises. sort of like what the poster Krista put up http://www.stumptuous.com/badrow.html

Here's my stats: Heigt: 5'11' Weight: 227 +/- Age: 33 Blood pressure: 'Borderline' as what was told to me by doctor 132/95

I want to lose 'fast', stop smoking and eat right ...

PS:what about that Michelob Ultra? I got's to have my beer! I'm a Coors light drinker problem is I've be known to do 12 beers a night on weekends and about 6-10 on weekdays. It takes ALOT for me to even get a buzz.

Thanks all. The M.

You want to eat right, but you consider 6-12 beers a day acceptable? That is a major conflict in interest. If you want to lose weight fast, cut back to 1 or 2 beers a night - and if you can't unwind without the alcohol, perhaps you should see a professional. I can't imagine why someone would put so much effort into building up their body, only to sabotage it with gallons of beer...

Thanks, this is a great link. Although some of the stuff seems to be geared a little to the more experienced

I don't NEED those beers it's just when I go hang out with my friends we all get drinking. In fact I haven't had a beer since Sat. it's just the hanging out thing, In fact I NEVER drink at home or any other setting but the bar and hanging with friends watching a game or such. In fact I still have a coors light from Saturday that my friends brought over while watching some games. It's just the atmosphere in those bars and such that are so conducive to drinking. You know, 'give everybody around on me!!' type of joint

So don't have them, then. Or have one. Or two.

Or be fat.

<shrug> It's your choice.

Cheers,

Take your pick of below and mix or match....
http://www.heartzone.com/us_resources.htm http://www.bodyresults.com/S2coretraining.asp http://www.alpineascents.com/denali-train.asp http://www.trainforstrength.com/

As for the beer? If you can drink the equivalent number of bottles/cans of Coke over the same period you might not have a problem. IF, however, you can drink that much beer and not have a buzz...you have a serious problem

Yech.

Not bad, but I don't like the term 'core training', because it's as much peripheral as core (which it should be).

Not bad, but I don't understand the emphasis on upper-body strength training over lower-body, particularly in the early stages. Hills and stairs won't build strength as well as squats, so why not squat early on, switching to hills and stairs later on?

Looks lame.
