If you too use the entire time of your workout session to listen to music or to think about other things that would distract your mind from what you’re doing then you’re probably like the rest of us.
Bringing your mind to the body and to what you are doing is the advice of Gregory Joujon-Roche.
In fact he takes it a little further than just to be aware and offers to use this time to listen to the inner dialogue that takes place in our head and change it to a positive one.
I suppose part of the reason many people turn to the escape of music during workout is that they are doing something they wouldn’t be doing if they didn’t have to. The minute they turn inward they start to hear the pity talk that poisons them. I never thought that I could focus on the this pity talk and change it instead of just ignore it as we usually do.
Sounds interesting.
