What is the effect of muscular hypertrophy on resting heart rate? When the heart is not being assisted by the pumping-like action of the skeletal muscles, must it beat faster to supply the increased muscle mass?

I've gained about 20 pounds of (mostly) muscle in the past 10 years and My RHR is about where it's always been...low to mid fifties.

Mine used to be around low 50's, now it is around 60's.

I have gained close to about 30 lb of muscle (over 12 yrs)
