What are 'NitroTech' proteins, and are they really much more effective than ordinary proteins? If so, why? Do they have any side effects? Thanks,

They are a whey isolate with Creatine added. Lee Priest didn't get huge and ripped by taking Nitrotech. It's the other 2 or 3 $K (estimated) he spends monthly on gear and GH.

Just use a cheaper whey concentrate for half the price.

They are very expensive. I would recommend saving your money, and either buying a cheaper product (whey concentrate), OR buying a comparable product from someone with better prices. I prefer to just use a cheap whey concentrate. The only place I've seen a claim made that these products are more effective than whey concentrate is in 'research' funded by the supplement companies.

Nitrotech products are a blend of whey concentrate, hydrolized whey, whey isolate and creatine. I don't know what the proportions of these ingredients are.

They spend a lot of money on marketting (propoganda).

This question gets asked frequently, and no-one advocates spending loads of money on these more expensive forms of protein. Some people have obtained good results with creatine, but there's more to creatine supplementation than just indiscriminately gulping it down in your usual protein shakes.

If you must use a more expensive blend, http://www.proteinfactory.com sell the upmarket ingredients (hydrolized whey, whey isolate) for prices comparable to store prices for the cheaper whey concentrates.

It also has Glutamine and ALA. If you are using all these supps, and get the Nitrotech for a good price, then you might find it a more cost effective blend than you at first think. I'm biased though because I like the strawberry flavored nitrotech.

Good point, if you're really intending to take all of those things, Nitrotech may be reasonably priced compared to other shrink-wraps, and at least worth investigating.

Then again, last I checked they looked pretty uncompetitive. I would recommend checking their prices against (for example) proteinfactory.com and see how they measure up. proteinfactory don't have ALA, but they have glutamine.

Yes, you've got to give them that

I doubt it has significant amounts of the supplements in each serving.

But, I've never looked at it. I just find it hard to believe that a NitroTech supplement could be cheaper than getting everything in bulk powder.

Although, ALA is pretty nasty in powder form.

Hey, anyone have any good links to a home capsule-making machine? (So that you can put powder of stuff into easily swallowed pills.)

I don't think Nitrotech has ALA in it does it? It's Cell-tech that has that stuff.

micronized creatine monohydrate; Insulogen รค (guar gum, d-myo-inositol, glucomannan, taurine, pharmaceutical-grade alpha lipoic acid)

Of course the real question is how much.
