I agree with the last statement, but disagree with the first (forty indeed). Do it while you can, for as long as that turns out to be.

If you get your back strong enough it should not matter what age you are. I've seen people over 70 who could still DL a decent amount.

Very 'decent' I would be happy to get to those numbers in the next ten years. That would put me around 35. Except I would probably be over 200lbs. I'm only about 3lbs away now with clothing on (otherwise I'm only about 190)

When I was 20, the 30-somethings told me 'just wait till you get into your thirties, you won't be doing that kind of stuff any more.
When I got to 30, the forty-somethings told me the same thing.
Now that I'm nearing my 40's, I'm waiting for the 50-somethings to chime in with the same old crap.
I figure when I'm 70, and still biking, DLing, snowboarding, etc., there will be some 80 year old telling me 'just wait till you turn 80!'
