Bent-over laterals...

At your stage I would not worry about directly hitting rear delts, however... ******************************************************* ******************* ******************** Every boy and girl deserves a Fecal Friend!

Thanks. I have had some past history with shoulder problems and since I am doing heavy benches (for me), I want to make sure that I get even delt work.

I understand that uneven delt development can contribute to rotator cuff problems. Please correct me if I am wrong?

So long as you are doing rowing movements, pulldowns, deadlifts, etc you will get plenty of indirect rear-delt involvement...Rotator cuff problems tend to arise from relatively weak rotator cuff muscles (in relation to pecs &

Rear delts are probably my least favorite to train. My favorite way to work them is with seated cable rows to the neck, using a rope attachment. All the other methods I tried just didn't feel as satifying. Here is what it looks like. http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidPosterior/ CBRowNeckElbowOu... And no, I will not 'make a shorter link' Hope this helps.

That link worked fine, thanks! I work out at home, I am sure I can adapt a dumbell excersize to that.....

Once I get the lat pulldown, I can probably lean back and use that easier.

You haven't trained very many people have you? Nevermind, I recognize your email adress: I remember some of the other dumb shit you used to post.

Sufficed to say, you're not automatically right. My training partner did monster amounts of weighted chins, rows, deads, and he still needed direct rear delt work to bring them up and avoid shoulder problems.

It would be ok if you were ever even remotely close to correct. Long winded and stupid is a dangerous combination.

At least try to be amusing in the fuure.

Your opinion is wrong.

Yeah, something like that if you want to be wrong.

Ah, Lyle, caught you in one of your better moods I see. Time to up the dosage of your meds, boy.

I suspect most people will receive a good deal of indirect rear-delt work from the compounds.

In any case, your training partner certainly did not have to work rear delts directly to avoid _rotator cuff_ problems, silly one.

Direct _rotator cuff_ exercises are pretty good at that.

Let me guess

At this point Lyle responded 'wrong!' or something like that, which I left out in my cut and paste...
