I haven’t written a whole lot lately, due to my back being out, the only thing that has been interesting me as far as fitness goes is getting back to a point where I can move freely, stop seizing up in the middle of tasks and get back to life without pain.
I have been taking private yoga lessons with a teacher who has developed her own method of yoga, mainly to cater for the broken and sore like myself.
I just ran across a Kieth Scott video with some streches I hadn’t thought of yet, for the lower back (except for the first) And they seem to be both gentle and suitable.
I will try them and let you know if I improve soon :-)

Specifically, rotate your feet in 45 degrees (say to the left) and then move your right hand to grab your left ankle (or knee if you can’t get to the ankle), while the legs are bent lightly (say 5 degrees).
Naturally you do it the other side as well.
I had backaches for years, and they were totally eliminated after I started this stretch.
Thanks Jake - what do you do with the other arm? let it hang? Or open it up?
