I have already mentioned obesity as one of the 21st century new killer diseases, and for someone who is obese (and you don’t have to be huge to be defined obese) loosing weight is more often than not a matter of life or death and on the mental and emotional front a mountain that is completely to high to even consider climbing.

I have just read a really inspiring post by macdaddy in his blog Get Fit Slowly He has lost to date 31 pounds and started loosing weight in October 2007, 9 months and all the difference in the world!

I will post only the first an the last of the pictures that he posted showing his progress over this period.

(I can’t help thinking that it is like having a baby in reverse…both because of the time and also because 31 pounds is about the recommended weight gain for a healthy pregnancy)

This is absolutely the most embarrassing picture I’ve ever seen of myself. I can’t believe I’m posting for everyone in the world to see. The only good thing about it is that my crow’s feet are covered up in fat.

End of June 2008

Here I am as of last night. Look at those crow’s feet no longer covered in fat! I’ll take them any day.
