Ok, so i've been training since January, 3 times a week, every week, only missed a couple workouts, anyway im making steady progress but i just cant seem to improve much on my biceps, i target them doing 3 sets of 8 curls on each arm, should I train them more/different excersizes?

Thanx in advance.

I found that I really had to play around to find something that worked for my biceps. I like doing drop sets (4 sets) with seated dumbbell curls (start heavy, curl till failure, drop the weight in half, curl till they burn, drop the weight in half, curl till they burn).

I found that getting the extra blood flow going there seemed to help add size and strength. The drop sets for me are the exception and not the rule. I'll do them for about 4 weeks and then switch to a more traditional arm workout.... sometimes I will super-set the seated curls with hammer curls (in this case I shit-can the drop set).

How much weight are you using? Are you paying attention to form?

Questions -

what kind of build are you? Light boned?

How much do you bench? Squat? Deadlift? (you are doing those, right?).

If, like me, you're a rather fine boned individual, you need to build up to big poundages (read - more than your own bodyweight) in all three lifts before curls will really do all that much for your biceps. You can grow huge biceps on comparatively small shoulders and a narrow chest.

straight bar curl. go heavy, go hard. low rep.. 3 sets is good.

what? its not extra blood flowing in there, but the blood that's already there is trapped that makes it appear bigger - just for the time being.
